15:1-8
Chapter fifteen stands out for many things:
Shortest chapter in Revelation – last series of 7 plagues – God’s wrath completes with 7 bowl judgment – The beginning of the end.
Our God was patient and merciful during all these years of human history.
Dr. Richison says that “God’s wrath has been building for centuries”.
We have seen the glimpses of God’s wrath when HE destroyed whole world with water.
We have seen Sodom and Gomorrah destroyed by fire because of human wickedness.

LORD is about to draw the curtain on the world history – means almost the end point of tribulation period.
Apostle John sees third and final sign in heaven – Rev 12 records the first and the second.
The seven last plagues complete God’s wrath
In second verse John looks at a sea of glass with fire and saints standing beside it.
This group of people is different from 7th chapter converts as result of 144000 kosher evangelists’ ministry.
15th chapter group is from the second part of tribulation.
They were victorious over the beast – its image – the number 666
They refused to worship the image of the beast set up by the false prophet
They refused to take the mark - went without food, clothing and shelter
They faced certain death in the hands of Satan and his devils
They realized that their heavenly destination was very close.
They are holding harps in hand given by God.
In Old Testament harp is the musical instrument used to play and sing for God’s glory.
They have harps in their hand to play and sing a worship song
They chose to sing two songs one from the Old Testament and the other from Lord Jesus.
Both are songs of worship and praise.
Song of Moses in Exodus 15 was the first song recorded in the Scripture.
Song of the Lamb was the last recoded song.
Third verse talks about God’s character – HIS works – HIS truth – HIS justice – HIS sovereignty over earthly kings
Fear of the LORD leads to worship
These people witnessed the wrath of God in many forms during tribulation.
They feared God more than the Antichrist who killed them eventually.
Today we know that many people blame God for their situations or circumstances in life.
I am sure many will not experience what these singers experienced in life.
Yet they just sang a worship song of God’s holiness, power and HIS works.
They knew in their hearts that the Lamb laid down HIS life for them and provided the hope of eternity in the hearts.
John sees the Holy of Holies in heaven where seven angels emerge from the Temple with seven plagues
One author says that the wrath of God is as pure as the holiness of God.
God used every possible means to reach people for Christ but they rejected Him.
The angels came from the presence of God authorized to execute the final judgment.
One of the living creatures close to the throne of God commissions the seven bowl-carrying angels.
These bowls are up to the brim with the Living God’s wrath.
In the Old Testament smoke often represents the presence of God.
God temporarily shuts the doors of the heavenly temple declaring that HE cannot be approached till bowl judgment is finished.
All activity ceases until the wrath of God poured on earth executing HIS judgment.
There is every possibility that many people will cry out to the Lord for mercy during 7 bowl judgment as wrath of God literally swept through the whole globe.
Nothing will be heard by God since HE shuts the temple for a brief moment.
No repentance is possible for them as they crossed the point of no return.
There is no intercession at this point and there is no appeal possible.
Not even Lord Jesus can enter the temple to make the appeal.
God literally turns HIS back on the people of the earth during the 7 bowl judgment.
